Cecelie laughed and smiled sweetly at Hawke . "You cannot take the fall for everything, my sweet soldier. You are so kind hearted. Everything is not always your fault." But she was drawn to his humility. Most men boasted and were so proud of themselves but Hawke was just naturally good and never bragged. He took the blame for others even when it wasn't deserved. It made her comfortable around him and she stepped close, looking up to him with an adoring look until the moment was ruined.

When he jumped and told her to go hide she frowned but nodded. "Be careful and come back to me." Always come back to me was that she wAnted to say but went to her bedroom without more argument.

Outside three men crawled over a whore who stood back, terrified because one kept her at bay with a knife. She was new to the night and not used to men acting so brutish. Weapons were drawn and they fought unaware of what they really fought over since two out of three were drunk and thought they were fighting for the ladies sake. Drunk men were stupid, and easy to turn on each other in the eder kemo .

Hawke just naturally took the fall for it all, it seemed much easier that way. He preferred to blame himself then to try and cause rift with others and blame them. He had always been that way, even since a child being trained. He was taught things were his responsibility, and no one else’s. If there was a mess up it was on him, and he just now transferred that to every aspect of his life. He also many times felt it was his fault, like this. Why would he dare blame her when it was him that had…oh goodness he didn’t even want to think about it, it just shamed him all over again. How was she not upset at him for being disgusting? He was touched however by how she saw him. She had a good heart as well.

He went outside and paused to see the scene, sighing as he wondered what in the hell was going on. He marched down to them “STOP THIS!” He roared at them, glaring them down before looking to the woman and grabbed at the man with the knife at her “All of you screw your heads back on and go home!”

Men were stupid. They were weak minded and easily swayed by the events at hand rather than the long outlook on things. They did not stop to think about the consequence that may come from attacking a soldier. Instead they saw yet another man trying to get to what seemed to be the only whore left in the Eder Kemo that was unattached for the night. One man was grabbed and easily pushed from the whore, who looked to Hawke with terror and admiration, but there were two other men still remaining.

One dark haired man lunged at Hawke with a blade in his hand, thrusting to try and cut or maim any open area on the soldier. The other, a bearded man, staggered to help in the fight. He snaked around Hawke to try and get the whore but she screeched and clawed him away long enough to take off and run away as quickly as she could. “Dogs,” she cursed under her breath as she ran and the drunkest of them all followed after her like a three legged dog. The other two were so transfixed on Hawke messing up their quarrel that they continued to fight, jabbing and punching, kicking and biting wherever they could get on the soldier and each other. The dark haired man seemed to be the most sober, and once he saw an opportunity he shoved his knife toward the soldier's thigh as the other barreled into them.

This was why Hawke refrained from any free time activities. He kept himself busy to avoid being like these men, blindly drunk and behaving like idiots. When the first man lunged at him he ducked, letting the man fall over his shoulder before standing and launching him back behind him. Drunk or not his reflexes and skill exceeded this men by a hundred, and they never understood it. So many man boasted they could easily take down a Uru soldier, yet no one ever had so far. Some soldiers took it too far, they beat the people who tried to fight them, breaking bones and spirit alike. Hawke however only did what he needed too to defend himself and subdue the man fighting him, he never felt the need to beat a man into submission to teach them a lesson.

When he heard the screech he turned to see the woman fleeing and charged at the man trying to follow her, grabbing him by the scruff of his shirt and yanking him back against the ground harshly. He then felt a knife go into his thigh and he growled in pain, quickly reaching down and yanking the knife out and thrust it into the man’s arm before turning to the other that barreled at him and threw a punch at his face. He moved quick and fluid but even then it was still hard to keep up with two men, but Hawke was managing very well.
